Restaurant Information

Located on Level 1, Beijing Kitchen is one of the signature restaurants at Grand Hyatt Macau, specialising in authentic northern Chinese cuisine. On arrival, diners are greeted by an eye-catching, floor-to-ceiling display of Chinese teapots and tea caddies. Moving through the 225-seater space, guests discover four animated show kitchens: a dim sum and noodle area where fresh dumplings are steamed and noodles are hand-pulled; a duck roasting section equipped with two traditional jujube- wood and almond-wood fired ovens; a wok station where up to ten chefs create traditional Northern dishes at a time, plus an alluring dessert counter.

From the dramatic display of Chinese teapots at the entrance to the warm colours and intimate seating options inside, guests are treated to a variety of settings in one beautiful location. Four kitchens overseen by a master chef create custom-designed Chinese delicacies, from traditional Beijing Style Duck prepared in wood-fired ovens and hand-pulled noodles to dim sum, to a wide selection of desserts.

Chef Information

Chef de Cuisine - Sun Yinming

Chef Sun joined the industry specializing in Chinese cuisine in Beijing in 1991 and now has over 20-years of culinary experience.

Beijing, being a metropolitan city, is an ideal breeding ground for Chef Sun’s culinary curiosity catering to the diversified tastes and preferences of his guests. Other than Beijing cuisine Chef Sun has also specialized in Shandong Cuisine and he has also quickly mastered Cantonese and Sichuan Cuisines.

In 2009, Chef Sun joined Grand Hyatt Macau as Sous Chef in one of the hotel’s signature outlets, Beijing Kitchen. During this period, he successfully trained and learnt from the culinary team and set up the kitchen for the opening and has developed a good “rapport” with his team, through his hard work and dedication he was promoted to Chef de Cuisine in 2011.
