Grand Hyatt Macau Celebrates Its Fifth Anniversary by Lauching Two Pioneering Apps for Guests
Celebrating its fifth anniversary in September 2014, Grand Hyatt Macau is proud to announce that it won the ‘Best Hotel in Macau’ award for the fifth consecutive year from leading meetings and events publication, TTG China.
The ‘Best Hotel in Macau’ award recognises Grand Hyatt Macau’s tireless efforts to pioneer new standards of excellence and personalized services for its corporate and leisure guests. In the first half of 2014, Grand Hyatt Macau has also custom-developed and launched two innovative products. The Events App and Digital Calendar deliver new levels of digital information and convenience for guests and events organisers.

The Grand Hyatt Macau Events App is an innovative, value-added communications tool for event organisers and delegates hosting and attending events at the award-winning hotel. The app combines all the key aspects of a meeting, seminar or conference in one easy-to-navigate mobile application.
By simply downloading the app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, organisers and delegates can log-in to specific events they are attending or managing to securely access daily agendas. For each session, attendees can find the organiser, speaker or exhibitor profiles, and study frequently asked questions, session requirements and other background information. Detailed venue floor plans, directions to enhance mobility within the venue.
With the new Events App, organisers can manage live delegate polling of each session and receive real-time results in graph format. Easy, instant communication with delegates is possible via instant push notifications. Organisers can also conduct post-event surveys to evaluate ratings and feedback from participants.
The Events App also features an element of fun and social interaction. In the Media Centre, attendees can view event photos, video content and uploaded documents. They can interact via private inbox messaging and social media, and discover what’s happening around the hotel and the City of Dreams.

The Digital Calendar is an exclusive communications channel for guests and clients of Grand Hyatt Macau. Presented on a slim-line tablet, the calendar app not only helps to keep busy lifestyles digitally organised but, when connected via WiFi, it provides up-to-date information, special events and exclusive offers.
Additionally, the agenda function on the Digital Calendar enables users to keep updated about the hottest happenings in Macau – from the Macau Grand Prix and International Fireworks Festival to the Macau Arts Festival and interesting gallery exhibits. Ideal for global travellers, the international weather feature showcases weather conditions and temperature forecasts in 60 cities around the world.
The Digital Calendar is part of Grand Hyatt Macau’s newly launched retail collection, and is available from the Concierge counter. In addition to the Digital Calendar, business guests can choose from a selection of gifts including letter openers, USB drives and other useful souvenirs of their Macau stay.
